You think the war in Iraq is costing us too much? Read this:

Boy, am I confused. I have been hammered with the propaganda that it is the Iraq war and the war on terror that is bankrupting us.
I now find that to be RIDICULOUS.

The total cost is a whopping $338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR.
Are we THAT stupid?

I was thinking about this post early this morning. I wonder how much better off we would be in regards to immigration if we didn't spend nearly a third of our budget on unconstitutional entitlement programs. I believe those types of socialist programs are the core root of the vast majority of our problems in this country.

Well Aaron those numbers are pretty big.

Whether they are accurate is another question.

I realize you did cite your sources, but can you vouch for the sources.?

Merely citing a source does not mean it is credible.

But even if you add up all of your list one thru seven it is still less than the commonly accepted $2 to $3 Billion per week estimated to be going down the Iraq rathole.

And you do have to concede there might be some longterm benefit that is returned to the taxpayers from the money spent on immigrants.

But I am hard pressed to see any potential economic benefits derived by us taxpayers from the continuing Iraq occupation.

If you think the sources are bunk, feel free to disprove them Sherm. I'm not required to 'vouch' for anything.

Unlike Iraq, the bulk of the programs on this list are UNCONSTITUIONAL.

The democrats can stop Iraq ANY time they choose. In fact, they won one election with that very promise as part of their core campaign. Of courese that's not the only promise your do nothing Congress has failed to keep, is it Sherm!!!!!!!!!!

For the record though, democrats campaigned 2 years ago on the promise that they would end Iraq, which they very easily can do. So why did they lie?

He is on the rightwing Fox talk channel, but he reminds me a lot of ziggie in that if he says it you can put it in the bank.

Well Aaron as to the second part of your post I am very disappointed and have said so repeatedly.

They should have impeached bush and cheney and ended the occupation.

And I hereby repeat it again.

Facts are facts Sherm. They had no grounds for impeachment.

However Democrats could have ended the war but democrats traded funding for a $2.00 an hour raise. So why did democrats lie in 06 Sherm? We're getting into the meat of the political season in a few short months and they're going to have to answer for their continued lies!!!
