Go Moron Knights!
If I am not mistaken they play Wheeling Central. I'll be well into the spring water by the time the game is over.

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
They have a very good team lead by one of the best in the state and he's only a sophmore. They've beaten 9 (I think) AAA schools and 9 (I'm pretty sure) AA schools and I think they've only lost to one A school. Other then Lewis, they are a bunch of overachievers. I'll be in the stands tomorrow cheering them on.

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
Where are they playing and when? lol
If it's not too hot or too long a drive I might venture out. I have to get Kate to a grad party in the early evening, though.

Sorry, I didn't see your post until just now. They played today (Saturday) at 11:00 this morning at Appalachian Power park. They were calling for rain and I had to take a kid home to Paradise this morning so I didn't get to the game.
They lost 11 to 4, finishing uo 21-12 I believe. Not bad for a bunch of overachievers.

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
It's ok, Aaron. I looked it up and decided against going. The weather was too iffy and we had a couple of graduation parties to hit. Tomorrow it's off to the graduation. It will certainly have a somewhat somber tone for what should be such a joyous occasion.
Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
I'm sure it they'll be fine. They got much further then anyone except maybe them thought they would. It's a good group of kids. I've told mine if they wanted to play there, I'd take them. So far, they haven't taken me up on it but who knows what next year holds.
We're graduating tomorrow as well, by the way. Donnie's pretty excited. He goes to Morgantown in a few months.

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
Congrats to you and your family. Kate will apply to WVU too, although UC is by far her first choice. If she attends UC she can live at home and she want to live here. I'm pleasantly surprised at that.
I wasn't speaking of the loss yesterday. I wish I were. A senior named Samantha Rogers died in a car accident right by the Toyota plant in late March. It is always tough when teens lose one of their own. BHS is such a small school I think the impact is magnified.

Donnie, along with several of his classmates, was good friends with Sam. I'm sure there will be something about her at Poca's graduation today as well. On the few occasions I met her, she was a really nice young lady and I never heard bad things about her.
Enjoy your day and congratulations to Katie.

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
Me too. Kate is next year, but I have oodles of time with my little guy.
I'll tell you what I'm not looking forward to doing again........the 11-14 thingy. Egads! They should all be sent to military academies!

Re: Go Mighty Bison!!!
I don't think I could go through it again. I REFUSE to date a woman with kids under 14 for more then a couple of dates. As soon as they mention meeting kids, I run away.
Women that talk about wanting kids, I avoid. Completely.

I wouldn't trade a moment with my son for anything. BUT.....sometimes I do think, "I'm getting too old for this." lol
