How many drowned polar bears does that equal?
Newsmax | June 17, 2008 | Staff
In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former vice president’s home energy use surged more than 10 percent, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.
“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”
In the past year, Gore’s home burned through 213,210 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity, enough to power 232 average American households for a month.

Isn't saving a polar bear--or the whole earth--worth a reminder, Aaron?

No, not when there's 10 of us that post on a regular basis. We all know how you feel about Gore. We don't need reminded.

Okay...but, this little guy will never get a chance to win the Pulitzer because he will probably drown.

He wasn't going to win the pulitizer anyhow. They only give it to brown bears, the white ones don't stand a chance. Reverse racism among the bears, don't you know!!!

How could anybody not just love the polar bears? They're so damn beautiful! They look so sweet & cuddly it's sometimes difficult to remember they are enormous killing & eating machines. Don't ya wish you could just scritch that lil guy behind the ears?

Actually, polar bears are black skinned under that white fur! So, black and brown furred bears resent them for acting white. So, polar bears need to spend more money in minority communities, if they ever hope to win.

Wouldn't that help them get the handicapped vote? (They are going to need it because they'll never get the vegan--or penguin--vote!)

So the polar bear is actually black but he shows white as it benefits him. I wonder though, does he claim to be Africian-northpolian to get their vote?

I don't know about any of that but.......
I feel another complaint being filed by Linda, or Takara, or linhara, or Jariel Green, or one of Sybil's numerous personalities.
I keep hoping one of them will develop a sense of humor! lol

The polar bear's biggest threat is the polar bear in McMastodon's clothing...

Sammy,
All this suddenly reminds me.......
Do you remember a while back you suggested Kate would enjoy reading Clan of the Cave Bear and what a coincidence it was because just a few days prior we bought a copy from the library?
Well, she has finally gotten around to picking it up and actually reading it. She asked me to tell you she really likes it!

Re: Gore's Home Still Guzzling Energy
We'll have to borrown them from the library. My home is overloaded with books. Loyd put up another bookshelf 2 weeks ago and I immediately filled it. He said "Enough is enough, woman!" lol
Speaking of books.......I finished the books I was reading and just read Silas Marner again and was about to start another when I remembered I promised Michael I'd read some book or another.
Mike, what's the title and author again? I don't remember what thread that was in.

Re: Gore's Home Still Guzzling Energy
No worries, Steph. The book for you is "What's so Great About Christianity" by Dinesh D'Souza, while I will be reading "letters to a young patriot" by Naomi Wolf, I believe. I think we should then be bound to posting a topic in reviewing our books.

Re: Gore's Home Still Guzzling Energy
You're pretty good! The author is Naomi Wolf and you are so close with the title! The correct title is "The End of America Letter to a Young Patriot". At least I'm pretty sure that's the title. I'll have to dig mine up again to be sure!
