Should he pick her, Mr. Obama may further unite and energize his party, make clear to the world that he is serious about diplomacy, and send a substantive political signal to women.

Change we can live with, indeed. This is quite a signal since a paltry two of the last three Secretaries of State were women. One has to wonder, are they a little slow on the uptake?

Well OC he is changing from the Bush bunch back to the Clinton bunch.

And I trust you recognize things were much better underneath the Clinton bunch.

However your point is well taken.

Most people probably thought he had something else in mind when he kept on talking about "change".

Of course by bringing back the Clintons I suppose he has "Hope" pretty well covered too.... Very Happy

Yes, because Newt Gingrinch ran Congress, and his mandates to Clinton coupled with the increased revenue from the dot.com bubble is why the 90's were so much better economicaly.

It also plays a role in our current situation as well.

If we were getting him back with a Republican congress and a new bubble, then it would at least have a chance of getting better. Eventually.

Under a Nancy Pelosi democratic congress, there is in reality no chance. At least for a very long time.

Truth.

Well Aaron it looks like maybe old Newt is getting the itch again.

I noticed yesterday he got in a couple digs against our gal Sarah.

Unless I miss my guess he better take it easy on her or she will put him in a defensive posture real quick.

Old newt lives in a big glass house so he best not be throwing rocks.

He handled Clintons puppet strings pretty good for 8 years. I think he can handle Sarah.

She will chew him up and spit him out real quick Aaron.

Did you happen to see her on stage with that bunch of old farts down in Florida?

Like old Joe Biden said about Obama, she is fresh and clean.

Like a rose among the thorns.

Aaron,

Newt Gingrinch is the past. Rallying around Gingrinch isn't the direction I would like to see the GOP head in.

In any event, from what I've been reading it looks like Hillary's chances of a Cabinet position may be thinning. Apparently she too much baggage......the very man who catapulted her to the national spotlight.

I don't think Newt Gingrich has a futrue in politics but I do believe if young consertatives want to take the party in the right direction, he's the man to seek out for advice.

And I agree. How can Hillary go tell a nation they need to change something and then it comes out that country gave bill a couple million dollars?

I'll go out on a limb and say she won't get the job.

Actually, I think the job Obama should have promised her is on the Supreme Court.

Egads! That would mean we'd never be rid of her. Please, don't even think such dreadful thoughts.
