POLITICO.COM:
Liberals are growing increasingly nervous and some just flat-out angry that President-elect Barack Obama seems to be stiffing them on Cabinet jobs and policy choices.
Obama has reversed pledges to immediately repeal tax cuts for the wealthy and take on Big Oil. Hes hedged his call for a quick drawdown in Iraq. And hes stocking his White House with anything but stalwarts of the left.

Re: Oddassity of No Hope!
And just like I said when Bill Clinton did it, it will do him no good.
The republicans will still do all they can to oppose him and make him fail.
You can be civil with the opposition and try to work with them.
But to turn your back on your own party and suck up to the republicans will do him no good.
Plus he will alienate his friends in the process.

Re: Oddassity of No Hope!
I think what you're failing to understand Sherman is that Obama is appealing to the MAJORITY of Democrats as well as Americans.
It's is the minority on the far left he is not appeasing and while he may have needed that base to defeat Hillary in the early spring, he no longer has to kowtow to elitist liberals on the far left as it is he who is in effect the power of the Democratic party.
Bill Clinton spent two years trying to reward the far left, got nothing accomplished and as a result, lost not only the majority in both houses, he lost a lot of conservative/moderate democrats in the process.
Barrack Obama is not going to make that same mistake.
