I blame global warming for the cold. I'm not sure why but I know that a preponderance of scientists agree.

Now I told you all 3 months ago that it was going to be COLD this winter.

And it wasn't a "lucky guess", it was the result of my observation of the current Sunspot Cycle. And their numbers are currently ZERO, .... ZILCH, ..... NONE.

This graph shows ISES sunspot numbers through 31 July 2008 courtesy of NOAA/SEC Boulder, Colorado

The Current Sunspot Cycle
The current solar cycle appears to be making a double-bottom, but it is never possible to be sure that additional low points will not be reached prior to an upturn. Whether or not that occurs, the odds are high that the general sunspot cycle trend will be upward for the next several years.

And the above was through July 31, 2008 ..... and today is Jan 17, 2009 ...... and below is that revised chart through Dec 31, 2008.

And as you can plainly see (by the red lines) that their GUESSING that the Sunspots would be increasing .... was a BUMMER.

So, lol! on any warmup

CNN's Lou Dobbs opened this segment by saying this was a CNN exclusive, something you wouldn't see anywhere else. And unfortunately, he was right for the most. The Jan. 13 broadcast of CNN's "Lou Dobbs Tonight" explored the possibility that earth isn't warming, but is, in fact, cooling. Dobbs cited National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data dating back to 1880 which showed a spike in mean temperature over land and ocean
