How long do you think that it will be before we are hit again? (Thank you Mr. Bush, the CIA and our military for keeping us safe.)

Silly question, ..... with the working producers when they refuse to be taxed anymore.

Just like all the drug dealing brothers who quit paying taxes long, long time ago.

Wasn't he in charge at the time? Wasn't he "the decider"???? (Or, was it really Cheney?)

It would appear that he bears quite a bit of the blame.

If a major attack occurs in September of this year, who will you blame?

How is he to blame? What evidence do you have that shows he could have prevented this from happening? Should he have ordered the planes shot down before they could crash into the towers?

When the ship sinks, or runs aground, its the skipper who takes the blame.

NOT the cook;
NOT the board of directors of the company who owns the ship;
NOT even the guy holding the wheel at the moment;
and certainly NOT the guy who was the skipper months ago.

So then Bill Clinton was personally responsible for the USS Cole and the world trade center bombing?

Hey, sodbuster. Aaron must be a bit c.s. about taking you on over this. All I did was agree with you, but you would have thought make the original argument by his posts.

Congrats!

He bears some responsibility. But those were rather minor incidents in comparison.

You failed to answer the queston BMD.

While your considering that one, try this one on for size as well.

Is the police chief in LA responsible for every crime committed in his city?

I'm not dodging anything. As I'm not a dumbass that realizes every single crime cannot be prevented, I would blame the perpetrators of your hypothetical attack. Only a fool would think a President can stop every single crime or attack.

No Aaron. I answered it. You may not like my answer, but I did answer it.

Aaron wrote:Is the police chief in LA responsible for every crime committed in his city?

If the crime rate goes up, the Chief usually gets blamed and losses his, or her, job.

The UNANSWERED attack on a United States Navy ship in international waters that killed 17 seamen is a minor incident?

Are you serious?

I've heard fools make smarter comments. What a pathetic thing to say.

BTW, Aaron, if Soon-To-Be-Former-President Bush is responsible for "keeping us safe", as TerryH's post at the start of this thread would indicate, why isn't he also responsible for failures to provide such safety?

Forever more, he will be addressed as President Bush just as we still address President's Carter, Bush and Clinton as such.

First: The USS Cole was in port, NOT in international waters at the time of the attack. (If you are going to use an example, you should get the basic facts straight).

Second: I said it was a rather minor incident in comparison; meaning in comparison to 9-11 (since that was what we were discussing).

Third: The skipper if the Cole's career was pretty much ruined by the incident (he never again had command of a ship, and he was denied promotion - effectively forcing his retirement.
