I have not now, nor have I ever been, a US Senator from Idaho.

I like Huckabee's faith just fine, but decent men don't necessarily make good presidents. I have to say I didn't care for him in the debate that I saw. I really like Paul's fealty to the Constitution and the idea of returning to sound money.

I am quite unimpressed with my options, almost certainly to be either Obama/McCain or Clinton/McCain. Given that I live in Illinois where the race will not be close, I can vote for a preferable third party candidate without any fear of wasting my vote.

My vote will probably depend on how loathsome I find the political statements of Obama or Clinton as opposed to anything that McCain will say. I have come to the conclusion that McCain is a dolt but ever so slightly prefeable to the Democratic alternatives. He is certainly more electable than Huckabee.
