Jim Cramer. Rush Limbaugh. Rick Santelli.

What do they all have in common? Most likely, none of them is getting invited to the White House Christmas party.

All three media personalities have been singled out by President Obama's press shop in the course of less than two weeks. White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs, in doing so, has shown an unusual willingness to spar with cable and radio hosts who take shots at his boss.

The rebuttals have ranged from playful ribbing to disdainful scolding.

Gibbs Gabs, Tries to Enforce Unfairness Doctrine Empty Re: Gibbs Gabs, Tries to Enforce Unfairness Doctrine

He's arguing with the media because it is they that are telling the truth about how wasteful and porkulus this spending bill is and he HAS to silence them. He knows that the one thing his spending bill cannot stand up to is the truth.

If he thought he could get by with it, he would have passed the fairness doctrine but that would have been a political nightmare, especially since a majority of Americans now believe that "Obama alone would be able to lead the country out of the economic mire within the same time period, and answered no by a 64 to 28 percent margin."

That was not the case a month ago and democrats know the more talk radio tells the truth, the longer we go with the spending bill failing (which history has proven it will do) and the higher unemployment goes, Obama's approval rating is going to head south.

They know that so they've gone on the offensive in an effort to counter criticism from the right and since they can’t attack the message of the right, they have to attack the messenger.

I think we’re all familiar with the type of person that criticized GWB when he called those who didn’t support his agenda patriotic but they are now doing the exact same thing with Rush and anyone who doesn’t agree with their socialist agenda.

After all, who among us on the right hasn’t been called an ‘obstructionist’ in the past month?
