CNN leads the pack by hiring a "swagger" expert. It turns out that the groupies at CNN admire President Obama's "swagger". This is journalism at its finest:

But what does that say about all this:

Swagger or not Presbro' with the stroke of a pen has expanded government into ever facet of human life. He has swaggered future generations into debt they can never hope to pay off.

Many liberals are wealthy types who pay taxes (or, perhaps, are at least SUPPOSED to).

I recall how utterly ravished the people of Evanston were with Obama. When their taxes hit Olympic proportions, they won't notice because the city is already hitting them really hard in real estate taxes.

As I age, I come to think of oppressive taxation in much the same way as I do abortion. The idea of rich liberals killing their children and paying exhorbitant taxes bothers me, but frankly, society benefits from fewer wealthy liberals and wealthy liberals with less money to do mischief with. If the schmucks in Hollywood decide to stop having babies, society will benefit, although I still wish they wouldn't kill any of them through abortion (and one rarely hears of such things coming from THEM, anyway). If the schmucks in Hollywood want to raise their own taxes, any one of them is more than welcome to contribute to the "general fund" in a line of 1040.

But I wish that they would stop trying to ruin other people's lives.

I went to a Kentucky Derby party last night. We've been going twenty years or so. They're the most interesting couple: she grew up in Philadelphia and he grew up on the campus of the Olney Friends School in Barnesville, OH. After college he returned to become caretaker of the school. Last night in speaking about her daughters she said, "They can do anything they want but become republicans". Mrs. ohio county was very helpful in pointing out that I am a republican. I didn't say much but there are more murders in democrat-run Philadelphia than there are in Baghdad. Maybe the little girls will be fortunate enough to live in Detroit...

LOL

This reminds me of my father-in-law. Over the years I have grown to love that man but he has been known to get himself good and liquored up and say, "Oh Lord, my son married a Gad damned Republican! What did I ever do to deserve such a thing?"

We have fun holidays Smile

James drinks Jack & Coke, ginger brandy, Bud Lite and whatever else he can get his hands on. He picks a mean guitar and can play the banjo and he adores Loyd & Katie. He told me once, "My son turned out to be the best man I know and he married you. That Katie she is such a good little girl and Loyd is as smart as a whip and you're their mother. You'd be alright if you weren't a Gad damned Republican."
