One thing I'd like to point out is that the system worked.

Apparently, the system works when the "suspect" can board the plane despite being on the "no fly" list with pockets "alledgedly" full of enough PETN to blow the plane out of the sky if he only manages to catch his pants on fire.

There are some areas of our lives that do not need liberalization or progressiveness and while I particularly don't care for the Patriot Act and I question all the money thrown at the Department of Homeland Security in the name of security, I don't think this is an area where a union official in Jersey should be setting conditions in Seattle. What happens if there comes a time in deciding between a union contract and security and the employee refuses to break his contract? Is that placed above the security of passengers? I just don't think this is a good idea.
