I think Bush is likely rightly feeling vindicated right about now. The left and the media (but I repeat myself) made him out to be the cause of all of society's ills. Now he is gone, yet the ills remain. I think Obama will be treated in a similarly unfair fashion, but his complaints will surely fall on deaf ears.

We are always looking for some grand savior to ride in on a white horse to save us from ourselves. And there are always more charlatan politicians pretending to be that grand savior.

Now you've said something I can agree with. 99% of the politicians out there from the local level on up are little more than con artists, pretenting to be some grand savior. Then on top of that, there are enough people that lack any ability to stand on there own two feet thus are willing to put there lives and futures in the hands of these con artist.
