I propose a deal. We open the California border completely, and leave Arizona alone. Let that "golden state" bear the brunt of illegal immigration activity so that it can finally sink completely and the rest of us will be free of the influence of that overgrown hippie commune.

My first bias is always in favor of immigration, but I also believe in the rule of law. What we've done here is made the legal process too difficult, the illegal process too easy, with the result that we get the perfectly wrong set of people coming in.

It isn't just the "wrong people" coming in that I have a problem with, although certainly I do have a problem with that aspect.

It is also that there are so many criminals making a living off the suffering of desperate human beings. Mexicans die unspeakable deaths without water or enough oxygen in trailers hauled by immigrant smugglers who cram them in like sardines in a can to haul them through the sweltering desert. Young women lured with promises of modeling and other jobs sold by human traffickers and forced to work as prostitutes or sold as sex slaves. Parents from impoverished nations are unwittingly handing their children over to Americans promising them new lives with wealthy American families and good educations being sold to pedophiles.

I don't care how many people walk out of class or how many businesses they boycott or how many lawsuits they file crying racial discrimination. I strongly favor closing our ports and borders and cracking down on illegal immigration rings and the scum making a living brutalizing and selling other human beings.

Woohoo this wouldn't make me popular with the keep 'em all out crowd but I wouldn't have a problem granting a visa to every illegal immigrant here who provided the evidence needed to lock up the people that victimized them.

People caught here illegally after overstaying their temporary visas need to GO and we need to address the anchor baby problem. We need to take away their incentives for staying, but you folks all know that.

The problem is that the vast majority is here by the own choice. Nobody held a gun to their head to come to this nation, they made the choices that got them in the pickle they find themselves. They and along with the bozos that victimize them need to go right straight back to whereever they came from.

I am sick and tired of only a few being held accountible. If I fail to pay my taxes for whatever reason I get in trouble. Illegals need to held to the same standard.
