LONDON (AP) — A British treasure hunter has found a hoard of about 52,000 Roman coins, one of the largest such finds ever in Britain.

The British Museum and the Portable Antiquities Scheme announced the find on Thursday.

Dave Crisp located the coins in April in a field in southwestern England.

The third-century coins were buried in a large jar about a foot (30 centimeters) deep and weighed about 160 kilograms (350 pounds) in all.

Some of the coins are currently on display at the British Museum.

Those of us that watch something besides FoxNews heard about this a couple of months ago.

Even saw a short interview with the guy, who had been an hobbyist treasure hunter for years.

And you decided to keep that old news to yourself, huh?

Do you really think that makes you smarter than any of the "peons" that you reluctantly associate with?

HA, ..... TRC, you are obviously one of those "I knew that" people, no matter what it is you are told.

And besides that, you are obviously also one of those type people who instigate an argument by interjecting bogus "contrary claims" for the sole purpose of learning the truths and facts about a subject being discussed.

Doing said permits you to play the part of "The Expert" the next time you become engaged in a discussion on the same subject matter, but with a different person(s).

One of my nephews, who was the same age as me, would do that to me. He would instigate an argument with me just so I would "explain and/or tell him all about it".

I finally figured that out once I realized that he never ever got upset, defensive, irritated or mad whenever "he lost the argument".

YUP, that's the way he would learn about something without ever having to admit that he didn't know a damn thing about it to begin with.

TRC, doesn't that sound awful familiar to you actions?

Iffen you take a Poll ..... I'm sure it will verify that "it does".

Blah, blah, blah.

My point was that if you watch something other than FoxNews, you wouldn't be behind so much on the topic of [not so] current events.

Also, you should spend more time brushing up on your science and less foaming at the mouth.

TRC, you should not take so seriously the words of a guy whose only job/hobby is "Devil's Advocate".

He is like you Zig, he doesn't.

And that is why he keep reposting that same ole tripe, piffle and untruths even though he should know better.

But then "Hell hath no fury like a 'put-down' Girly Man", ... does it?

You mean like the example I just quoted?
