Mother Sentenced to 7 Years in U.S. Incest Case

HARRISONVILLE, Missouri -- A woman whose husband fathered four babies with one of the couple's daughters was sentenced to seven years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty last week to child endangerment and hindering prosecution of a felony.

Judge Mike Wagner said he knew of animals in the wild that fought to protect their young and questioned why the 49-year-old mother didn't do the same.

"What is so frustrating to the court is there is no amount of time in prison that can give this young lady her childhood back," he said. "Your child suffered an unthinkable abuse, and you allowed that to happen. You will have to live with that for the rest of your life."

Three of the four children the woman's husband had with the couple's daughter died, including one whose body was found in a shallow grave in eastern Oklahoma where the family apparently lived for a short time. The bodies of two other babies were found in coolers on a rural Harrisonville property where the family lived in their mobile home

Yes, even in Central Illinois, 43 million is more than 3, but the point is that the perverse story you mention is already governed by the law of the land, whereas partial birth abortions are not.

On the matter of cats on an island, ours is not a world in which necessary resources are scarce. There is enough wheat alone to make everyone on earth fat. Even if you want to make an overpopulation issue, you needn't do it in the US or in Western Europe, and as far as birth control goes, I say yes!


If youw ant to help starving Ethipians, perhaps Planned Parenthood can, instead of killing children in the US, offer cash to mothers to get sterilized there.

Right Steph, abortion is a "too much screwing around" and an "unprotected sex" problem ...... and human beings don't look like cats but they screw around 100 times more often than cats do and all that unprotected sex increases their need for abortions.

Researchers say women who seek abortions come from a demographic group more likely to have emotional problems to begin with. Statistics show that a large percentage struggle economically and they have above-average rates of unintended pregnancies.

While first-time mothers had a lower rate of mental problems overall, the proportion of those seeking help after giving birth was dramatically higher. About 7 per 1,000 women got mental health help within a year of giving birth compared with 4 per 1,000 women pre-delivery

Oh, Sam that is all just so much BULLSHIT, and I'm gonna tell you why.

A woman has an abortion, walks out of the abortion mill. She goes home to suffer alone and in silence.

A woman has a baby. Doctors try to keep her in the hospital for a couple of days, more if she's had a c-section. Mom goes for a follow up a few days later.....plus she's off to the pediatrician with the baby.
PLUS ESPECIALLY if she's a first time mother (which I believe this study focused on) the hospital tries to convince her she needs a visiting nurse to make a home visit.

So you've got all these doctors and nurses asking again and again and again how mom feels. Do you feel sad? You know, we have to worry about post partum depression. Mom might eat her young or feed him to the dog.

Now while all that is going on new mom likely has mom & mother-in-law and a whole host of other do-gooders trying to be helpful. Everybody's got a ton of advice. Breastfeed, bottle feed, cloth diapers, disposables. Pampers vs Huggies......circumcise or don't circumcise and WTF IS UP WITH ALL THOSE VACCINATIONS? OMG.....do I let my baby have 3 shots at a whack at just a few weeks old?

Gotta return that PKU test or the health departments up you ass 8 ways to Sunday. Oh, and guess what? It's been 6 weeks and the baby is up at 1 & 3 & 5 but I have to go back to work to pay for this mortgage and care loan.
