Lifestyle Changes Prevent One-Third of Cancers, Study Says

A third of the cancers diagnosed each year in the UK - more than 100,000 - are caused by smoking, alcohol, unhealthy diets and obesity, research showed.

Smoking is still the most important factor when it comes to causing cancer. The study found it was responsible for 23 per cent of cancers in men and 15.6 per cent in women.

But the review also found that a lack of fruit and vegetables was responsible for 6.1 percent of cancers in men, while being overweight causes 6.9 per cent of cancers in women.

"Looking at all the evidence, it is clear that around 40 per cent of all cancers are caused by things we mostly have the power to change."

The work by Cancer Research UK found there were an estimated 314,250 cases of cancer across Britain last year, with tobacco responsible for causing 60,837 of them.

Questions that the “cancer experts” should provide legitimate answers to:

1. If one’s “lifestyle” effects of smoking, alcohol, unhealthy diets and obesity caused 100,000 of the estimated 314,250 cancer cases, then what caused the remaining estimated 214,250 cancer cases?

2. If said “cancer experts” actually don’t know what caused 214,250 of said 314,250 cancer cases, how is it possible for them to honestly claim they do know what caused 100,000 of said 314,250 cancer cases?

3. If no one knows what caused 214,250 cancers ……. then is it not highly possible that the same “cause” was responsible for the other 100,000 cancers?

4. Just what is it about “cigarette smoke” that makes it a “gender specific carcinogen” responsible for 23% of male cancers but only 15.6% of female cancers?

5. Given the fact that a large majority of said 60,837 “tobacco-responsible” cancer victims were undoubtedly also subjected to one (1) or more of said “alcohol, unhealthy diets and/or obesity” responsible cancer causes, …… just how did the “cancer experts” determine that the tobacco was the cancer causing culprit?

I dont know that the following figures are much helpful to enhance this topic but I have once read this report that says, did you know that these days, ever 4 Individuals in america, there is one clinically identified as having cancer? In 2008, there are about 565,650 Individuals in america predicted to die of cancer malignancy. Every day, 1500 people life are taken by cancer malignancy. It is included 1 of every 4 fatalities. Cancer is the second most common cause of loss of life in the US, overtaken only by center illnesses, and if present styles proceed and we never do anything about it, it is predicted to be the best cause of loss of life by the year of 2010.

People are rising to this terrifying fact. More are becoming aware of what causes cancer malignancy and are making plans to avoid it from creating by making modification to their way of life. The other best part about it is that beginning prognosis, analysis and therapy have enhanced the possibilities considerably. In 1995, over 50% of cancer malignancy people lasted five years or more after analysis and therapy. The National Cancer Community reports that an extra 25-30% of all cancer malignancy fatalities could be avoided with previously analysis and therapy.

And “Yes”, you post enhanced my knowledge of the subject because I have never read any article or report stating this, to wit:

Which really doesn’t surprise me any because “study” findings or results such as that would be treated as a “closely guarded secret” to prevent the American public from ever knowing about it. “DUH”, the anti-smoking/tobacco “flim-flam” extortion scam is really BIG business in America with BILLION$ in tax monies at stake.

Me thinks said “plan making” is little more than “an act of futility” because most all cancer is genetically based. A cancerous cell results when a cell divides and 1 of the 2 “loses” the body plan of what its function is and thus continues to reproduce itself and/or affects or directs other cells to do likewise, …… hence the term “spreading cancer”.

Just like one (1) rotten apple in the barrel ........ and you end up with a rotten barrel of apples.
