It's been downright balmy around these parts this winter, and I should have figured it would be when I heard on the radio, last fall, that "scientists were projecting an unusually cold and snowy winter."

Quit with the facts Keli. You are making the faithful restless. Global warming is real and is melting the, uh, it will be melting the Himalayas, and last year it was really cold and the winter was really long, and that proved global warming, and this year the winter is very mild, and that proves global warming, and I am bald, and that proves global warming.

Hungary orders Danube closed amid big freeze
Hungary closed the Danube to river traffic Friday due to thick ice, bringing shipping to a near standstill on Europe's busiest waterway, as the continent's cold snap death toll passed 540.
The 2,860-kilometre (1,780-mile) river, which flows through 10 countries and is vital for transport, power, irrigation, industry and fishing, was nearly wholly blocked, from Austria to its mouth on the Black Sea.
