Senator Mike Gravel is visiting Charleston

Environmentalist and Peace Activist Senator Mike Gravel is visiting Charleston, WV the weekend of September 5 - 7, 2008.
Mike Gravel, Alaska's US Senator from 1969-1981, is most promiently known for his release of the Pentagon Papers, the secret official study that revealed the lies and manipulations of successive U.S. administrations that mislead the country into the Vietnam War.

You will be able to personally talk with and thank Senator Gravel concerning his historic role in keeping Democracy alive in America. You can view his latest keep democracy alive initiatives on his web site www.mikegravel.us Senator Gravel will be available from 2-4 PM Saturday September 6th at Taylor Books to talk with you and sign copies of his latest book, Kingmakers.

Immediately after the book signing he'll host a campaign reception and fundraiser for Jesse Johnson, Mountain Party candidate for Governor of West Virginia.

On a recent radio interview in California, Gravel said the only candidate he would endorse in this whole election is Jesse Johnson of the Mountain Party in WV. Earlier this year, the Mountain Party affiliated with the national Green Party of the United States.

In typical Mike Gravel fashion, Senator Gravel is here in West Virginia to put action with his words.
