My credibility...
..., not that I really care, has been called into question.
A few months ago, I leaned slightly towards McCain, just on principle. I am pro-welfare reform, against most forms of social spending and "entitlement" programs. I am also, however, very liberal in terms of civil liberties.
As he was a moderate GOP member, I did favor McCain. Even if he isn't as keen on civil liberties as I am, what is the worst he could do?
Since his disastrous mistake in choosing Palin and running a smear campaign (Palin doesn't talk about issues, she just tosses dirt at Obama), I developed a bad taste in my mouth.
When I saw this headline, I threw up in my mouth a little:
Palin Pre-Empts State Report, Clears Self in Probe
By choosing Palin and engaging in antics ("suspending" his campaign to run to Washington to save the day), I feel justified in not supporting him. His judgment is questionable in my mind.
Now to Aaron, this makes me a "liburl" and someone who is likely lying. Note, I have never made a single statement supporting Obama (countering BS is a matter of principle, I would do it on any topic) and may just vote for that insane Bob Barr just to give the libertarians some numbers.
I submit that Aaron can't even properly define the word he so often tries to slander people with.

Re: My credibility...
Well Terry RC I can't say I agree with the "new McCain" on much of anything.
I liked the "old McCain" much better.
But I was teetering on the edge of voting for him just because of his military service, pow, etc.
But I agree the Palin thing killed any chance there ever was that I would vote for him.

Let me precede this by saying that Sarah Palin is hot. And imho, she isn't qualified for the job in which she is running. But then neither is Barrack Obama. He’s a better public speaker then her but that’s about it.
When McCain picked her, I didn't know anything about her other then what wiki told me but it was apparent to me the reason he picked her? My question for you is, has her religious beliefs bigoted you as they have others or is it her conservative beliefs reason enough for you not to like her? Or is there another reason you don’t like her?

Re: My credibility...
I don't believe she is qualified to be President, and there is a good chance McCain might leave office before his term is up.

Re: My credibility...
As far as executive, political and business experience goes, she has MORE then Barack Obama does. Those are undisputed facts. Obama may or may not have better leadership qualities then here, that is up for debate but as to the experience factor, she wins hands down.
So what about her, other then her political, executive and business experience, is there that makes you feel she is not qualified to be President?

Well "DUH", ........... she is female ........ and a registered Republican.
The same criteria as to why he thinks Capito is unqualified.
But now females such as Charolette Pritt ........who has/had no executive, mid management, business or monetary experience, ......... but is registered Democrat, ...... ole Shermmy thinks was more than capable of being Governor ..... and most probably thinks she is more than qualified to be POTUS.
If Sara Palin pulled a "Rockefeller" by ....... moving to WV, registered as a Democrat, ....... and filed to run for any elected Office, be it Legislator, Governor or Congress, ............. Shermmy would support her election bid.

TerryRC,
Nevermind your credibility. This is a fun place to debate vigorously. No one needs to defend their right to make arguments.
Of course, everyone here but me is nuts, which even a child would understand

So you can't answer the question Sherm? Could it be Sam's in the neighborhood?
