Re: Coleman barely beats Franken--so far.
Norm Coleman leading Democratic challenger Al Franken by 206 votes, a difference of about 1/100th of 1 percent...
If that doesn't qualify as being close enough for a recount, then what does?

bm'd,
What do you think are the statistical odds that a recount would only benefit the Democrat?

If you sit down and think about it, it has to be that.
What do you think the odds are that Coleman will accept the recount if he loses?

Re: Coleman barely beats Franken--so far.
Does anyone know does a "re-count" mean they only include the votes they have already counted?

Or do they include them all?
Also if it is not decided before the new Congress is sworn in, it looks like the Senate gets to decide, and one would figure they would pick Franken.

Also it could be that everyone's assumption that Chambliss will win the runoff in Ga could be premature.
As I understand, a lot of Ga. republicans are unhappy with Chambliss.
And although since they were already at the polls to vote on other races they went ahead and voted for him, that does not mean they will take off and go vote just for him.
My hunch is a lot of the republican straight ticket voters might stay home.
And it wont take that many if Obama comes to campaign for Martin and gets their side out..
I would really like to see that so the Dems can have 60 votes without Lieberman.

Sherm,
Please, never ever complain again when somebody, anybody, calls you a partisan hack.

Aaron called me a partisan hack several times just today. And I don't feel any different. "Cause it's just Aaron being his mindless self. So if it don't bother me, I don't see why it would bother Sodbuster. But to each his own, I guess.
