How do you tell a communist? Well, it's someone who reads Marx and Lenin. And how do you tell an anti-Communist? It's someone who understands Marx and Lenin.

So how does the "anti-communist" understand it if he or she hasn't read it?

Oh, the same way that anti-you understands all the things that you think you understand.

So then Reagan wasn't speaking any great wisdom affer all- just Ziggy logic.

I take my ques regarding the military from the reason for the constitution, which was a strong national defense.

Yes, we should have a strong national defense, Aaron.

That doesn't mean we need to have US military personell and bases in 130 nations around the globe. A strong national defense doesn't mean our nation forces her system of government, her way of life, her culture on the peoples of other nations.

A strong national defense doesn't mean invade, conquer, occupy. A strong national defense doesn't mean having tens of thousands of active duty, armed soldiers on US soil. These things don't equate with a strong national defense, but they do smack of something else or another....

Sooner or later it will come to you, if it does rear up its ugly head and bite you in the arse first.

You've done a good job of explaining what a strong national defense is not.

Now perhaps you can explain what it is.

It's a damn shame that idiots like Johnson and Nixon and Kessinger and Bush didn't do the same.

You really need to take some meds, Ziggy.

There are lots of Doctors around that will prescribe something for you.

If they prescribe for me whatever you're taking, I don't think I want any of that.

You left out Ruseavelt as he was responsible for the greatest military fraud perpetuated on the American public, who’s actions were worse then not only Bush, Johnson and Nixon but all other Presidents combined.

And you should not have included Kissinger as he was merely an advisor.

So he wasn't really a terrorist- just a terrorist's assistant?

Aaron,

Well trained, and well equiped. They could help with port and border security. There is absolutely no reason to have our military scattered all over the world. With the technology in our military's possession, nuclear submarines, aircraft carriers, missle defense systems etc., we are more than capable of protecting ourselves without tens of thousands of troops on the ground in other nations.

I think it would be a wonderful idea to bring back the troops that for decades have guarded the border between North & South Korea, for example, and have them guard the borders between the USA & Mexico & Canada. It's obvious the people who wish us harm now aren't going to launch attacks with war ships or paratroopers. They're going to sneak into the country and bomb our transit systems and buildings, hijack our planes, and reign terror on our citizens.

Troops occupying Iraq and Germany aren't going to prevent those attacks. Troops in Iraq and other Middle Eastern nations are providing them the motive for their wicked acts.
