5 Democratic Governors Asking Feds for $1 Trillion!
These people are either insane or stupid or both. Take your pick.
According to one of the Governors, Team Obama has been "receptive". They must be insane, stupid or both too.
These states are spiraling out of control due to mismanagement, failed socialist policies, the failed war on drugs, and the high cost of illegal immigration. Nobody talks of correcting these problems, they just want a cool trillion to either be printed out of thin air or borrowed from the Communist Chinese.
Sounds like a plan to me.

Re: 5 Democratic Governors Asking Feds for $1 Trillion!
I heard something on the TV news yesterday about some Congressperson asking for "bailout" money for newspaper publishers ......... saying they were all deep in debt and on the verge of bankruptcy.
Now wouldn't that make for a really, really, really Party Partisan Press?

There was a journalist on George Snuffleupagus's show last week and one of the things he mentioned was that people were going to have to start "paying" for their news instead of getting it for free off the internet as it was killing print news.
It reminds me of Ross Perot's analogy (I think it was him) of the last whip makers in New England. These people haven't figured out that they are a dying entity.

I know from a previous story that the bulk of Ohio's problem is funding federally mandated programs. Medicade alone is eating up 25% of this years budget.
This is just part of the unfunded liability I keep harping about.
Marx believed that there was no direct path to communism, that before a country could go to communism from capitalism that they had to endure a couple of decades of socialism before they could get there.
I'd say we are well on the path to getting there.

Yeah, and now the steel industry is asking for a trillion too.
Do you wonder if the powers that be will ever say this is just too much?
