PELOSI SAYS BIRTH CONTROL WILL HELP ECONOMY
To the Editor:
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi boldly defended a move to add birth control funding to the new economic "stimulus" package, claiming "contraception will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government."
Pelosi, the mother of 5 children and 6 grandchildren, who once said, "Nothing in my life will ever, ever compare to being a mom," seemed to imply babies are somehow a burden on the treasury. The revelation came during an exchange Sunday morning (January 25) on ABC's THIS WEEK. Maybe following Chinas one child forced abortion policy is next for Pelosi and the radical left.
In 1984, former Democrat Governor Richard Lamm of Colorado supported physician assisted suicide claiming that the elderly have a "duty to die" to help alleviate the burden on the treasury! Do you think that Speaker Pelosi, aged 69 years, will also add "death control funding" to the stimulus package?
Sincerely,

She if half-right.
Had her parents used birth control, it definitely would have helped the economy.

That could be said about any one of us. If you are just spoofing, then fine. But if your are even one percent serious, then I question your oft stated respect for all human life.

Back up a second, Mr. Ziggy........
I value all human life, and oppose abortion but I favor contraception. If I didn't believe in contraception I would have easily have given birth a dozen times more. I'm very fertile.
Nanny Pelosi's parents had a couple of birth control options, even 70 years ago.

Ziggy,
You know me better than that. I do not wish harm on anyone, born or unborn. That includes Pelosi and even the unborn Pelosi of however many years ago.
I was making a joke that one condom THEN would have been worth a thousand NOW. Like Stephanie, I have no qualms at all about contraception that is not abortifacient.
I was having fun with the lady (given that she's not around to be offended). I wish neither her nor the rest of hers any harm whatsoever.
Heck, Zig, if contraception is murder than every sperm is indeed sacred, and millions upon millions died with liberal wet dreams on the eve of the inauguration.

OK. I misunderstood. I'm backing up, as Stephanie suggests.

Re: PELOSI SAYS BIRTH CONTROL WILL HELP ECONOMY
I read last night where one of the few concessions President Obama made to House Republicans was to remove the 200 million promised to Planned Parenthood in the stimulus package.
Which begs the question, how is Planned Parenthood going to stimulate the economy? Seems to me this is more about politics then it is about stimulating the economy, especially given that only about a quarter of this money we're putting on future generations backs won't reach the economy before 2011.
