I didn't hear it. I listened to him on Friday on the way back from Ohio but I didn't hear the speech yesterday. Was it any good?

I just read the transcript. It was quite good. He told the people what they wanted to hear. He omitted a few uncomfortable details, but in general it was accurate and I can see how it would be motivational to those folks.

Typical "HHHUUURRRR! LIBRALS!" Rush rant.

Comparing one's political enemies to a murdering fascist...

...good guy to look up to, that Rush is, and his speech stays about that classy.

Sam calls me a druggie while he fellates a pill-popping criminal (who [Rush] once called for the death penalty for drug offenders, so he is a hypocrite, also).

He was addicted to Oxycontin, Steph, and had been getting his maid to fill illegal prescriptions for him. He was convicted and shouldn't have gotten off with mere probation, particularly after his call to execute people guilty of drug offenses - even simple possession).

And for the record, I heard Rush say he doesn't speak for the GOP, nor does his message meant for the GOP. In his words, he speaks for conservatives and his message is for everyone.

Just because he was addicted to pain killers doesn't mean his message is wrong.

The more important question is "Why should they care what you think?". Obama won the election easily, America has spoken. If conservatives want to be bitter about things and actively root for their country's leader to fail, well that's fine. Losers do that.

I'm no fan of either party. Since this stimulus seems to be a done deal, though, I want it to succeed.

Rush Limbaugh speaks for himself. He has a lot of fans, I am not among them.

He called his security guy Stalin, not a political enemy. He was hamming it up for the crowd.

I oppose the death penalty, just one of the numerous reasons I'm not a fan of Limbaugh.

I think that speech was excellent. He told the audience what they wanted to hear. He gets extra points from me for truth and accuracy with some deductions for failing to point out facts and details that are uncomfortable for Limbaugh and his target audience.

Oh wait, should that really cause deductions? I'm not so sure.

I'm sure people attending rallies in Nuremberg said similar things. Rush has a show where he makes hateful rants on a regular basis. Show me where Obama has made similar rants. Just sayin'

The GOP does little but attack "liburals" and "leftists" and "socialists" anymore.

There was little of anything of substance in that speech.

Do not take this as approval of the democrats. I am appalled at the federal bailouts, among other things.

I wish I could get some totally unbiased person to view those comments. I do not think he was in any way comparing liberals to Stalin. I think he was poking fun of them for fearing him. Obama has made reference of Limbaugh specifically very recently.

I don't pray, but I do hope Obama fails at a lot of things, the same way I wished for Bush to fail at a lot of things. The abomination being called stimulus has passed, this is true, but there are other items on his agenda I certainly will continue to fight against. Socializing our health care industry is a good example you provided that is high on my list.

Whatever Obama said, it is working. People like Rush are looking more maniacal every day.

This is a problem. We need a sane GOP to slow our drift to the left.

Obama told people if they want to get anything done to stop listening to Rush Limbaugh. Obviously, The O thinks Rush carries a lot of weight with people so he's seeking to marginalize him. I think Rush does a pretty good job of that on his own and O made a mistake.

This is a problem. We need a sane GOP to slow our drift to the left.

I might agree with that more than some here realize. We need a more honest GOP to help keep Democrats more honest.

But as long as the GOP, in pursuit of a misgiuided sense of political correctness, identifies in lockstep with the moralizing preachers and other socially authoritarian pariahs, its credibility will be forever compromised .

Yes he did. He called for the destruction of the Dallas Cowboys, who were at the time, by and large, drug offenders.

But there is a big difference between INTENTIONAL drug addiction such as your habit ....... and unintentional addiction such as with babies and those suffering from pain.

GEEEZE, I still have a large pill bottle half full of hydrocodone, probably 60 pills, that the Doctor cautioned me to "take as needed ..... but not to excess".

You would probably LOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEE to get your hands on those little "suckers", ........ wouldn't you TRC?

Nuff there to keep that fire in your brain kindled for a few days, right?
