Even the staunchest rightwing WV haters would probably concede that such a calamity/catastrophe would be a lot less likely here in the wild and wonderful.

Also for Terry RC: Do you know if the criticisms of hybrid seed are valid?

There are a lot of old timers who swear by their own seed stock and won't buy "hybrid".

There are some interesting veggies mentioned here.

Do you have an idea if the claims are valid?

I know this is a little out of your field, but I figure you would be better informed/more knowledgeable than most.

GEEEZE, that is not a "vison", ........ that is just common sense.

Pre-29' Depression there was not a large percentage of the populace that were conditioned to and expecting the Government to do a damn thing for them ....... so when things got tuff they did their best to "weather the storm".

And none of them had a "burn, loot n' kill" mentality if they didn't get what they wanted.

But that has all changed.

Now days, there is a large percentage of the populace that is conditioned to and expecting, .... and even demanding, ...... that the Government do everything for them. Provide them food, housing, healthcare, spending money, etc., etc.

And if things don't go the way they want it to, there is a certain segment of the populace that have re-nurtured their "burn, loot n' kill" mindset and they are not afraid to exercise said to prove a point or to get what they want ....... because they have learned over the past 40 years they can get by with doing said.

So ya'll just wait n' see what happens when Obama's Economy hits rock bottom and people don't have the money to buy things .... or ..... if they have the money but there is nothing to buy.

That segment of society is not going to be deprived of what the Government "owes them" ...... and they will come looking to get it from someone, anyone, ..... and the "burning, looting n' killing" will be part of it.

And the hills of West Virginia will not be immune from such actions. On the contrary, they will be a "prime target" area for finding what they want because of the low population density. Not so many people of their like kind to fight over what they want.

To answer your question, I think very highly of the preacher in the article. Now I can't say if this is from God or from bad cabbage, but I will say that he wrote an excellent book called "America's Last Call" about impending financial disaster, and he wrote it 10 years ago or so. I read it while I was on a working trip to Washington DC.

I think he's done a lot of good, and his books are excellent. It may be that his dream was sent by God and he got the message wrong, it could be that he had a vivid dream, or it could be that God is actually warning the nation to fly right.

I love and trust in Jesus Christ, and I am certain that God is Sovereign over the affairs of men. He will deal with the United States as He chooses, whether we like it or not, and whether or not we find it politically correct.
