"The lowest standards of ethics of which a right-thinking man can possibly conceive is taught to the common soldier whose trade is to shoot his fellow men. In youth he may have learned the command, 'Thou shalt not kill,' but the ruler takes the boy just as he enters manhood and teaches him that his highest duty is to shoot a bullet through his neighbor's heart - and this, unmoved by passion or feeling or hatred, and without the least regard to right or wrong, but simply because his ruler gives the word." There is a segment of the world's populace that absolutely needs a good "killing off" .........and the world would be better off for it.

And the highest standards of ethics of which a right-thinking man can possibly be taught is to conduct said "killing off" to insure the peaceful existance and survival of the moral, good and honest segment of the world's populace.

Like any malignant cancer, if it is not permanently removed or killed then it will eventually spread throughout its host, destroying or killing said in the process.

Those who believe that ...... it is "fair, moral and/or just" that everyone should be forced to live with tens of thousands of "malignant cancers" that pose certain danger to their own existance ....... have the lowest standards of ethics than anyone on the face of the earth.

In their utter ignorance and stupidity they actually think they are immune to any effects of the above said, ...... or, ..... they know that they are one of said "cancerous growths" and they are doing their damnest to keep from being "terminated".

That is a copout plain and simple. You can't have it both ways. You either stand for the right to life or you don't. To say you personally stand for the right to life, but if another doesn't will that's just peachy keen is nothing but a straddle the fence, go with the flow, noncommittal answer. In fact it is less than an answer.

Ziggy is a big boy and can speak for himself. However, I don't think that is quite what he has said. That is what Sherm says. My memory of what Ziggy has said is different.

That said, I'm under the weather (and what crappy weather it is to be under) and my mind isn't as sharp as it usually is. Not that my mind is ever as sharp as I'd like it to be...

Mr. Darrow should be thankful that enough right thinking Americans were willing to pull the trigger as that is not only how the United States was conceived and granted each of us our freedom and our rights, it is those same like minded young men who are willing to stand and ensure we don't lose our freedom and rights when others won't.

Willy, I PERSONALLY oppose extramarital sex ....... but I really don't give a flying F whether or not anyone else, except my wife, engages in said.

And I also PERSONALLY oppose the drinking of Bush Light or Utica Club beer ...... and it doesn't offend me that others choose to drink said.

And Willy, I also PERSONALLY oppose young children being brainwashed into believing a Christian or Islamic Religious Doctrine ....... but if that is what "turns your crank" then so be it.

There are things in this world worth fighting for. There are principles and beliefs that have far more value than all the gold and silver on earth. Principles like every human being has the right to live and choose their own destiny. The everyone has the right to speak their mind, no matter who it offends. Everyone has the right to be secure in their life, safety, and property without fear. Those rights don't come from man. Man only codifies those rights. Those rights come from Almighty God and belong to every human being, no matter their station or stage of life.

What I fail to understand is how many will stand by and allow others to fight to defend those rights and then condemn those who did the fighting. We have elected leaders who have done just that. What is even more confusing to me is how a public allows themselves to be lead by these immoral and corrupt people.

And you are comparing apples to oranges Sam.

Like you I don't care what people choose to do, so long as it doesn't affect one who has no choice or input into the matter. However, I do care very much when the actions of one deny another a basic right. Especially, when the affected party has absolutely no control or say in the matter.

We are just experiencing a "normal weather event" which the likes of a similar one hasn't occured in the past 12 years or so .......... and it is in no way related to the Global Warming effects of CO2 causing climate change ........ regardless of whether or not the lack of Sunspot activity during the current Solar Cycle predicted this cooler, rainy event would occur ...... and will significantly exacerbate in intensity if said Sunspots do not start increasing in numbers.

Again you compare apples to oranges.

Yes, their mother and I took them to church and we raised them exposing them to our religious views. The difference is, once they were no longer our responsibility, they have the choice to do as they please.

Even by taking them to church and exposing them to our beliefs we did not deny them any right.

Everyone has free will. We have the ability to examine what we know and have been exposed to and to explore other options and ideas. That is what we have a brain for, to use. Sadly most people don't use it and others are afraid to use it.

Willy, in actuality, ..... "You are what you are nurtured to be".

If a child is nurtured to have "free will", then it will have it, ..... if not, then it won't.

One of the best examples of this is the "political nurturing" of children in WV that has occured over the past 80+ years, especially the children of partisan Democrats.

Years ago when one's job and/or livelyhood depended upon their Regisration and vocal support of the Party in power, there was and is now, a tremendous amount of discussions, arguments, fights, etc. within the home, family gatherings, social gatherings, etc, ....... all of which the children were subjected to from birth thru their teenage years.

And thus, the majority of said children .... were nurtured .... to think, believe, act and mimick the actions of their parent(s) ..... and to each of those individual children said nurturing controlled and dictated what their "free will" thinking consisted of.

And thus, their nurtured "free will" thinking only permits them to make a choice of which Democrat Candidate to support and vote for ......... and to badmouth, criticize, berate and defame the Republican Party and any and all Repubican Candidates reguardless of who they are or their qualifications.

And Willy my man, ...... you can not deny the truth of said.

Willy, my "free will" thinking permits me to choose who I think is "the most qualified Candidate" to cast my votes for.

The reason for said is that I was never subjected to said in-home political discussions, arguments, fights, etc. Absolutely none that I can remember of ..... and the reason for said was that my Father worked for the B&O RR and his job and livelyhood didn't depend on one frigging thing the Democrats or Republicans did or didn't do. And neither could get his ass fired even if they tried to.

And Willy, that same parental nurturing is responsible for my "free will" thinking about organized Religions, ...... but that's another story.

cheers And again, speaking of ethics .............. 197570 And again, speaking of ethics .............. 197570
