Scientists say dolphins should be treated as 'non-human persons'
timesonline.co.uk ^ | Jan. 3, 2010 | Jonathan Leake

Dolphins have been declared the world’s second most intelligent creatures after humans, with scientists suggesting they are so bright that they should be treated as “non-human persons”.

Why can't a fetus be considered a non-human person--at least?

No fetus has ever had his or her own television show.

Was that his name?

Not really, but I do remember Steppin Wolf. In fact, I saw John Kay perform at JR's Fastlane in Providence around 1985. He was surprisingly good, all things considered.

Dolphins may be as intelligent as people.

Of course, in calling for their protection, crusaders will bring their own unrelated arguments.

I'll bite, however.

Since fetuses do not have constitutional protections, on what basis would you trump the rights of the woman, who DOES have constitutional protections for fetal rights?
