My friend, Frank, asked me to de-friend him on Facebook. He made the statement that the Tea Parties were racist. I told him I'd been there and there were African-American speakers at the rallies. I was pretty sure they were well-received. He said he'd seen the photographs. I asked him if the photographs trumped personal observation. He said he didn't want to be friends anymore. We're not.

When a group of citizens staples Lipton tea bags to their hat brims and gets their asses up, I think it is a good thing.

Good lord, I wish I lived in California long enough to vote for Carly. What a load. Were I the General I would have dressed her down in a manner that would have let her know that while calling her by a title was no problem, the use of "sir" and "ma'am" in the military are signs of ultimate respect that she clearly does not deserve for taking the tone with a Brigadier General of the United States Army, a man whose rank deserves a modem of respect for a United States Senator.

Sorry you've lost a friend on Facebook, but there are worse things. Calling someone a racist when, in reality, they want lower taxes and less spending, is nothing more than the lack of a good argument against lower taxes and less spending. No doubt, of course, such arguments exist, but they are either not known or just ignored by people who make slanderous charges of racism against someone who merely disagrees.
