December on track for Record Month Temperatue in 4 decades
Snow storm slows holiday travel; flights canceled
The Weather Service said that for the first Christmas in 17 years, Nashville could get more than just a dusting of snow.
Atlanta could also see measurable snowfall. The last time that happened there on Christmas Day was in 1881, when 1.6 inches of snow fell on the city.

You see, Sam, this is proof of global warming. And those 17 years in which it didn't snow, well, that was proof of global warming. And my hair loss, global warming.

Even thought there was a consensus amongst scientists about global warming, we don't call it global warming anymore--we call it climate change. (By consensus they also call darkness "night" now.)

If I were married to one of those environmentalist types, it would make an "ex" of my wife:)

Here's what I'm thinking with enviornmentalists. They make domestic manufacture considerably more difficult, sending manufacturing to countries with more lax environmental standards, and then oil is consummed moving those products to the United States.
I wonder how much damage this does to the environment.

Now you cut that out, Sheik! Don't go injecting logic or common sense to the debate on the environment. It has no place. This is a subject which has been, is, and always must be discussed with emotion and fear and the like. Shame on you!

So are you presuming that consuming oil damages the environment?

See Mike, you used logic and reason which Stephanie told you was a no-no and lo and behold, the environmentalist replies illogically and unreasonably.
Looks like she called that one right.

Ziggy,
It sounds to me like you are conceding the argument. Oil is a finite resource, regardless of the environmental consequences of consuming it. Meanwhile, well paying jobs in protected countries are sacrificed while operations are moved to the maquilas of Mexico, Vietnam, and China where workplace safety and environmental regulations are laughed at.
It's really quite something. Liberals claim to speak for the "little guy" and "Mother Earth," and meanwhile jobs go to where workers are paid subsistence wages, the skies are polluted ad nauseum, and where rights and liberties are jokes and political prisoners well, in prison. Then, in a further delicious irony, "big oil" is subsidized because you must then ship the crap whose production the left forced overseas using fossil fuels.
