I'm not buying it either

Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann's campaign said on Friday it had more than $4.2 million in contributions at the end of the second quarter, much of it from small donors.

The Minnesota congresswoman's campaign said it had received more than 88,000 contributions, averaging about $48 each, and that it had more than $3.6 million cash in hand.

She's not gonna get the nomination, Aaron. She is no more going to get that nomination than the finger counting Pizza mogul who still isn't sure he knows what the problems are. She's simply too crazy.

Apparently Michele Bachmann can't either. According to the latest Fox News poll, Bachmann is polling at 10%, 1 percentage point above Congressman Paul. This is quite remarkable given how much postive attention she has received from the GOP establishment. It is even more amazing when you consider how that same establishment has sought to marginalize Paul.

That same poll has Rick Perry at 14% and he hasn't offically announced and the leader is someone who wears funny PJ's. I don't see anyone on the Republican side that can unseat Obama, especially after the Grand Old Party just caved on the debt ceiling. It seems the only time Obama wins is when he takes on the GOP.

You reckon Congresswoman Bachmann's medical condition has anything to do with her polling so low?

The Minnesota Republican frequently suffers from stress-induced medical episodes that she has characterized as severe headaches. These episodes, say witnesses, occur once a week on average and can “incapacitate” her for days at time. On at least three occasions, Bachmann has landed in the hospital as a result.

“She has terrible migraine headaches. And they put her out of commission for a day or more at a time. They come out of nowhere, and they’re unpredictable,” says an adviser to Bachmann who was involved in her 2010 congressional campaign. “They level her. They put her down. It’s actually sad. It’s very painful.”
