Warren Buffet's Secretary Empty Warren Buffet's Secretary

Self-serving gadfly, Warren Buffet, claims his secretary, Debbie Bosanek, is paying more taxes than he. Oh, no, wait - she doesn't pay more taxes, she pays a higher rate. Warren pays 15% in long-term capital gains while Debbie pays 35.8%. Does that mean she's earning $379,150+ as a secretary?

Tax Rate Schedule X, Internal Revenue Code section 1(c)] [figures for 2011]
•10% on taxable income from $0 to $8,500, plus
•15% on taxable income over $8,500 to $34,500, plus
•25% on taxable income over $34,500 to $83,600, plus
•28% on taxable income over $83,600 to $174,400, plus
•33% on taxable income over $174,400 to $379,150, plus
•35% on taxable income over $379,150.

Doesn't that qualify her, under Obama's definition, as "wealthy"? How come she's not paying her fair share? Can she really be cast as a victim? Is she not the first wealthy victim invited to a State of the Union address?

Today Warren Buffet told us all to back off criticizing Debbie Bosanek. He is the one who brought her into this. He is the one who raised the question. I haven't heard any criticism of her. On the other hand, why would she allow herself to be used as a political prop? What are her other duties?

I heard that his personal masseuse gets a little more than the 35% tax rate--but, she also got pregnant.
