Blue haze over John Amos

My plant is located on the Kanawha less about 5 miles from the river. When you go outside, all you can see is blue everywhere, especially down towards John Amos. This is the worst that I've seen it. I sent a picture to Sam via Stephanie becasue I can't get it to load upload on my work computer, something to do with the path (servers I assume).

I'm confident Sam can get it on here. Once it clears up, I'll take a picture from the same location to show just how bad it is.

Aaron did you say the big project at Amos will deal with this?

I know several boilermakers and pipefitters etc and they they are hiring about 800 boilermakers for the project and it should last almost a year so it's a pretty big deal.

Maybe by the time that's over they will get the go ahead for New Haven.

Virginia is the hold up on approval because they dont want their rate payers to help pay the bill for construction.

But they are going ahead with plans for the new power line so they probably know something we dont.

No Sherm, I said the new scrubbers they put on the plants was responsible for the haze due to the amount of sulfur dioxide that once released into the air is convert to sulfur trioxide and that is basically what the haze is. Apparently on certain days, due to atmospheric conditions, the sulfur trioxide is held down by high pressure and is visible on clear days. At least that’s my understanding of the problem.
