"This too shall pass..."
Well guys fate works in mysterious ways.
As luck would have it, I was away helping my daughter move from early Friday morning until late Sunday night.
She was moving to Grundy, Va. where my ATT cell phone does not work, and her tv cable wont be hooked up till Thursday.
So I was pretty much incommunicado for the weekend, and did not see the inappropriate remarks that were apparently posted about me by Aaron.
So no harm, no foul in that regard far as I am concerned.
And I understand his frustration in having his posts removed because I felt the same way when my posts were edited and removed awhile back.
(although mine were not removed because of any insulting or debasing remarks, only because the subject was apparently taboo.)
So I predict this is just a tempest in a teapot and Aaron will return as rambunctious as ever.
As for the initial subject of Edwards' apparent personal problems, I would only repeat the earlier post that I do believe in repentance and redemption.
People have been forgiven by God and man for far worse offenses, imo.
No need for me to bring up the fact that personal shortcomings are not exclusive to any political party, since several others have already done so.
Ironically, on the way down to Grundy, Va. I passed a small church that had a sign up saying this is God's House "both Democrats and Republicans welcome."
I thought at the time that there was probably some story or local drama behind that sign.
I will join with those who have posted elsewhere their prayers and best wishes to Mr. Edwards and his family.

Re: "This too shall pass..."
BTW the most popular political sign in the Grundy area is "Vote Jesus for Savior"...... seems like every other house has a yard sign with that on it.

I said nothing inappropriate, insulting or debasing about you Sherm. They problem was with the amount of joy I took in pointing out to that your pathetic partisanship and faith in Edwards was, as you most often are, wrong.
And for the record,
I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!

Well I will not respond in kind because it has already been pointed out by others that your choice was involved in a similar and probably even worse dalliance.
And I predict this will not be the last episode of wandering eyes involving politicians either.
Plus whatever you said must of been pretty bad to get deleted by this bunch of moderators we have.
They have set the standard pretty darn low that's for sure.
But I figured you would be back cause like they say a leopard cannot change his stripes...
Besides, according to this, the so called affair was brief and happened long ago and he already told his wife about it.

I used to take great joy in pointing out the "sins of the flesh" involving clergymen- especially prominent evangelists. A really good friend of mine finally convinced me that taking such glee in the misfortune of others- especially specific groups of others- represented a sort of perverted sense of humor.
I think those of us who get all giddy with gloating glee at what we judge to be the "pathetic partenship" of other posters here are exhibiting a perverted sense of humor of their own.
Politicians, in all their self-annointed grandeur, are legitimate targets of public ridicule when they screw up. But the various posters here- who are mostly just engaging in some whimsical cyber entertainment anyway- are not legitimate targets for attempts at gratituous personal insults, regardless of someone or others' perception of "pathetic partenship".
For example, George Bush and John Edwards both make their own political images, and so are legitimate targets for scrutiny and political ridicule.
But Sam and Sherm and Aaron and Ziggy and Craig and Stephanie and all the rest of us aren't "fair game" for such scrutiny and ridicule. Even with our forum personnas, we are presumed good citizens with an attendent right to be free from gratituous scorn and unprovoked insult. Those of us who think that our forum brothers and sisters here are fair whipping boys and girls for giddy, perverted joy should look elsewhere to get their jollies.

Well zig I try not to take this stuff on here too serious but some do and that's why they get out of line and post personal insults, threats, and slanderous remarks about other posters.

Re: "This too shall pass..."
Perhaps you can post a link to some of those personal insults, threats, and slanderous remarks, other then calling you partisan that is. That's the truth and everyone, including Frank knows it.
Personally, I don't think you can. I think this is just more of your BS but feel free to prove me wrong.
I'll be waiting.

Aaron was told he had done enough gloating, Sherm. Please don't make me regret my decision by attempting to gloat over something that didn't even occur.

It happened when he was running for President, campaigning in Iowa, while he was useing his wife's illness to promote his own lying personal agenda and in the process he not only deceived her, he deceived a state, a country and a Presidential election.
No, I would say that of all the politicians who have had 'wondering eyes', John Edwards ranks right up there at the top. I'm sure the rest of the democratic field save your boy Obama feel the same way.
I'm not the least bit suprised you were taken in hook, line and sinker.
