How about Wilson... - Page 2 Empty Re: How about Wilson...

I don't know that Wilson was rude. Obama was lying, Wilson may have just been beyond fed up unable to contain himself.

I don't know where you come from, but interrupting ANYONE when they are speaking is rude. Interrupting the President and being out of order is rude and idiotic.

None of you have seen ANY of the health care proposals. Isn't it a little premature for anyone to be accusing anyone of lying?

Not quite true. While I haven't read all of the bill that was introduced I have read a portion of it. Of course the bill is 1,018 pages in length and written in legalize. What I do understand of the bill is that alot of issues are deferred to the beauracrats to make rules. In reality we have no real idea of the actual ramifications of the bill.

Calling someone a fucking asshole and a liar because they got the best of you makes you a prick. Pot, meet kettle.

Where I come from, people telling blatant lies are frequently called on them as the lies are being told. Not so in Jersey?

I have read portions of two of the bills under consideration. I haven't read them in their entirety because although it isn't much, I do have a life.

House guidelines for presidential put-downs

Under section 370 of the House Rules and Manual it has been held that a Member could:

• refer to the government as “something hated, something oppressive.”
• refer to the President as “using legislative or judicial pork.”
• refer to a Presidential message as a “disgrace to the country.”
• refer to unnamed officials as “our half-baked nitwits handling foreign affairs.”

Likewise, it has been held that a member could not:

*• call the president a “liar.”
• call the president a “hypocrite.”
• describe the president’s veto of a bill as “cowardly.”
• charge that the president has been “intellectually dishonest.”
• refer to the president as “giving aid and comfort to the enemy.”
• refer to alleged “sexual misconduct on the president’s part.”

*He broke the rules, simple as that...

President or not, Obama is a raving racist, a barefaced liar, and unworthy of the office. While Wilson's may have not chose the best platfrom to express his opinion of your illustrious leader, he did hit the nail squarely on the head.

Speaking personally, I would have no problem saying what I posted here to Barack Obama's face. Had I been Representative Wilson, I would not apologize and I would wear the reprimand for my comments with pride.

Not so. He said the President was telling a lie. That's not the same as calling someone a liar.

He broke the rules, but that doesn't make his statement inaccurate. Obama is a liar.

The irony in all of this is that the more the Dems harp on Wilson (Carter has added race to the mix), the better he looks. I am thinking of sending 20 bucks his way just because he's obviously pissed off a group of people hellbent (literally) on ruining the country.

No. Nor was I shocked when that same body booed the previous President. I was a bit surprised at the shoe thrower.

Whatever happened to respect? Did it go out the window when a new president was elected?
Your hero means nothing to me and dosent affect my life..
Your other heros, Bush & Cheney did affect my life. Thanks to them and their recession , I lost half my benefits and my medication doubled in price. Yep... I'm a Union man... UAW local 594 Skilled Trades...
So, just go ahead and poo-poo
... and tell me how great your "other heros" were...

My heros?

What do you know about my heroes? Have I done or said something to give you the impression that Bush & Cheney are heroes of mine? If that's the case I'm sure our fellow forum posters will be happy to set you straight.

I don't believe in heroes. If I were backed into a corner to name one I'd name Congressman Paul but that I don't wish to burden him that way. I don't believe in infallibility of politicians or popes, Hacker.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of who cause the mortgage crisis and the banking crisis and so on make sure you take a good long look at LIARS like Barney Frank & Maxine Waters and a host of other Democrats in Congress who not only looked the other way while criminals were raiding Fannie & Freddie, but expounded on their virtues.

Oh wait, we can't talk about any of that, now can we? Frank is gay and Waters & the thief I'm talking about (but with a name that won't come to me) are black so I'm just some bigot, right?

Respect is earned, Hacker. Obama has earned nothing but scorn & contempt from me, and perhaps Congressman Wilson.

See for yourself.
