I was kind of hoping he would bow out to see how his son would do. Perhaps 4 years in the Senate will do the younger Paul some good.

Senator Paul would be a Junior Senator with little political experience running for the White House. Sound familiar?

It sounds very familiar as does some other things. I'm still troubled by Sen Paul's schmoozing the religious right.

I don't like his earmarking, but he is still head and shoulders above any other possible candidate.

You are referring to Congressman Paul, the father from Houston and I agree with you, he is complete and unequivocally wrong on earmarks and to be honest, it is an issue that really bothers me. Probably more then it should but it's something that I just can't seem to shake.

The schmoozing I am referring to is Senator Paul, the son from KY who is speaking at Pat Robertson/Ralph Reed's Faith and Freedom Conference.

I don't mind as much the schmoozing as I do the earmarks. I understand that politics requires the building of a base of supporters and I imagine that is the reality of what Sen. Paul is doing, especially since this group holds to many of the principles Sen. Paul is advocating. At least I hope that is his purpose.
