And none of that changes the fact that the Republican Presidential candidate was trailing by double digits until that woman was announced as the VP candidates. Nor does it change the fact that she drew record crowds and even outdrew the Presidential candidate, warts and all, and gave him his only shot at winning. You can cry, bitch, moan, and argue all you want and those simple facts WILL NOT change.

And did he stay that way, or did he drop again? Was it because of her?

Sam says he voted for McCain because of Palin (I think he would have voted for McCain if they ran him with a dill pickle). I didn't vote for McCain because of Palin. It swung me.

I doubt I'm the only one.

None of that was the topic of the conversation. She boosted his ratings until she was put on the sideline which is facts you can't refute.

At what point did McCain put her on the sidelines? He used her as his attack dog right up to the election.

Really.

I posted a link months ago that showed his campaign cutting back on her campaign appearances, mostly because she was outdrawing him.

In all the times you resurrected this thread, you're still wrong. It's time for you to let this one go as you can't refute the basic facts.

Sarah Palin boosted John McCain's struggling Presidential campaign bid and gave him the limited amount of hope he had.

Crawl back under the porch, lick your wounds and let this one go.

TerryRC,

I don't think you will be a Republican voter as long as the party is pro-life and "means it." Am I wrong?

RC, I think you are putting too much stock in what the MSM tells you. It is the propensity of the republican party to sponsor losers like Spazzafava in New York that cost it votes. It is the pandering to the center in order to gain control that costs it elections and majorities.

I vote for republican candidates in just about any election. I have even voted for pro-life candidates if I felt that their stances on other issues outweighed that fact.

I will never be a big "R" republican as I will never be anything but an independent.

I fear commitment...

Perhaps.

Perhaps to people in the middle, the republicans are beginning to look a little rabid. Too many Palins and Limbaughs.

Just my opinion. I'm not much for the mainstream media as a sole source of information. Hell, I don't even listen to NPR news. I do tune in for the irish music show - is it "Rose and Shamrock", or something like that?
